Powers and Duties of officers and employees

Click here for organisation Chart The power and duties of officer and workmen are assigned from time to time to carry out the business operation of the comapany. The officer and workmen while discharging the duties and responsibilities are complying with various provisions applicable to the organisation from time to time. The rules and orders are complied by these officers and workmen from time to time and exercised the power and duties as assigned from time to time. The work allocation is also defined from time to time.  

Procedure followed in decision-making process, including channels of supervision and accountability

CEL has a well defined system of supervision, accountability and decision making. The proposals are initiated at the relevant/appropriate levels and necessarily pass through at least 3 levels before being approved. The proposals having financial implications are routed through the Finance Department. The powers sub – delegated to various approving authorities are clearly spelled out in CEL’s “Sub-Delegation of Powers” document. Major policy decisions going beyond the sub delegation of powers upto CMD level are put up to the Board for approval.

Norms set by CEL for discharge of its functions

The Company has Delegation of Powers for discharge of various functions. The officers of the Company at various levels discharge their functions & responsibilities within the powers delegated to them. CEL being a Government Company follow the Guidelines issued by Department of Public Enterprises from time to time. 

The vendor greivence are being settled from time to time.

The Company is managed by the Board of Directors consisting of CMD (Chairman & Managing Director) and Part-time official Directors. Directors are appointed by the President of India from time to time. The term and tenure are decided by the President of India. The internal committees are constituted with the approval of the competent authority.
