Central Electronics Limited Concludes Golden Jubilee Year with Launch of Green Tier-III Data Centre and 200 MW Solar Module Manufacturing Plant

CEL, successfully marked the 51st Foundation Day with the culmination of Golden Jubilee Year.

The highlight of the event was the Foundation Laying of state-of-the-art Green Tier-III Data Centre, by Hon’ble Chief Minister of  Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath JI and Hon’ble Union Minister for Science &Technology, Dr. Jitendra SinghJi. 

Further a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was exchanged, for setting up of  200 MW Automated Solar Module Manufacturing Plant. Combined revenues from both of them will give a substantial boost to CEL’s financials.

The culmination ceremony was held on 27.06.2025 at the ‘Swarna Mandapam’, in the august presence of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, signifying CEL’s unwavering commitment, to strengthening India’s digital infrastructure and renewable energy capacity.

The new Green Tier-III Data Centre, of  30 MVA capacity having 600 racks, is among the first of its kind to be developed by a CPSE which shall significantly contribute to the goals of the UP Data Centre Policy 2021. Similarly, the 200 MW automated solar module plant is poised to boost domestic manufacturing under the National Solar Mission.

These new initiatives will further enhance CEL’s contribution to national priorities in technology, security, and sustainable development.

Last year, the Golden Jubilee celebrations of CEL (26th June 1974 – 2024) commenced, with the blessings of the Hon’ble Vice President of India, wherein the company was conferred with the coveted status of   mini Ratna Category-I CPSE.
