Department of Atomic Energy and Department of Space was presented a cheque of
dividend by Dr. N. Kalaiselvi, Director
General, CSIR and Secretary DSIR, on
behalf of Central Electronics Limited (CEL), an enterprise under the Ministry
of Science and Technology for the first time in the history of the company. Speaking on
the occasion, Mr. Chetan Prakash Jain, CMD, CEL informed the Hon'ble Union
Minister that CEL employees are working tirelessly to enhance turnover, add new
products and increase CEL's profitability. He pointed out that CEL has been
making profits for more than last 8 years and has now disbursed all outstanding
arrears of wages, due since 2007. After paying the wage arrears in the
financial year 2021-22, the company paid dividend for the first time in its
history. The Annual General Meeting of the company was held at Science Center,
Lodhi Road, in which a turnover of Rs. 253 crores and net PBT of Rs. 35.18
Crores, after payment of arrears, for the
financial year 2021-22, was declared. The company has also paid corporate tax
of Rs. 9.69 Crores.
